A busy month

Well, its hard to believe its been almost a month since my last post. My lack of 'postage' was definetly not intentional for all of my faithful viewers out there. Things have just been busy. So let's see if I can at least sum up some of the things that have been going on in my life. The strawberry picture above is one of my favourite shots lately....a true sign of the Niagara fruit season to come. The fruit stand/bakery of Nokara Farms is in full swing now. Customers have been so excited for strawberry season and enjoy all of our locally famous baking. I must say, the strawberry pie is delightful. I'd better get back into the working out routine or else......

My official university graduation happened on June 5. It wasn't that much different from last year's other than the fact that this is really my last one. Actually I guess in a way it did feel different because now we are all entering specific careers and not just finishing off a random degree that could lead anywhere. It was fun to celebrate the day seeing all my classmates again.
In other news, baby mania is going on these days. It seems that babies are being born left, right and centre around here. Two new little baby boys have entered the world of my friends...baby Bryden and baby Elijah, both of which are adorable. Next up, Brad's sister Briar will be delivering on Wednesday this coming week so I'm excited to see who will be newest person to come into the family. More babies this summer though and into the fall. I thought this was a great shot of my friend Luke and his new son Bryden.Although many exciting things have been happening, this past month has been filled with much uncertainty. This is such a unique 'season' in my life and its hard for me to get used to not knowing the next phase. New teaching jobs were posted last week and so I sent my resume out to a few schools, but the pickings were slim. I didn't hear anything for this round of jobs, so I guess I'll have to wait until August when things settle and more jobs will become available. In a way its nice because I can relax a bit these next couple months and prepare for the possibility of getting a last minute teaching job. Then it might get stressful. I really am okay though with whatever happens. Time will tell..... So for now, I am going to enjoy this summer. A new twist in my plans however will be the absense of my boyfriend who will be on a work contract in Peterborough for the next month. We decided it will be good for us to have the opportunity to 'miss each other'. Only that wasn't supposed to happen until August when I am going away for a couple weeks. I'm planning to head back out to Thetis Island to serve with the Capernwray staff once again. Should be a great time of reconnecting with old friends and remembering all things I learned and experienced. Anyways, thats all for now. Hopefully more updates to come.
